Another European Champion title with even more efficiency with a pick & place machine: We supported the ThaiGer-H2-Racing Team from the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences on this mission with our linear guideways.
The team of students from the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences developed and built ultra-light race cars with hydrogen propulsion. This is how they took part in competitions for sustainable mobility. It was not about speed, but rather about efficiency. The team most recently achieved the best result at the Shell Eco-Marathon with 1,083 km/m² of hydrogen. This corresponds roughly to a range of 3,295 km with just one litre of petrol.
Of course, the race car also includes control units and engine controllers. The team has designed an efficient pick & place machine in order to avoid tediously loading the boards by hand in the future. Our linear guideways from the miniature MG series installed in the system make a valuable contribution in terms of precision.
Precise and efficient – with the new pick & place machine and our support, the ThaiGer-H2-Racing Team is now even more successful.
